Welcome to HNMUN – Boston , where excellence meets diversity
My first year on the team proved to be a journey of discovery, largely thanks to the remarkable individuals I met along the way. While I’m usually skeptical of clichés like the “what I love the most is the people” trope, my experience at PU breathed life into this notion. The team provided a supportive environment where self-exploration flourished amidst a diverse group of peers, each with their own aspirations and backgrounds. What struck me most about PU delegates is our shared commitment to going above and beyond, driven by a collective passion for excellence and a desire to make a difference.
Stepping onto international competitions with the Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) Conference in Boston was pivotal for me. There, I found myself delving into topics like Cybersecurity in Political Elections—subjects that had previously seemed daunting. This is what makes Model UN so incredible: it pushes you beyond your comfort zone, expanding your horizons in ways you never imagined. Competing against students from prestigious institutions worldwide at just 18 was both intimidating and empowering. Looking back, I’m amazed by how much I’ve grown, both personally and academically. Beyond the challenges, what truly made the experience unique was the guidance and mentorship from our advisory team. Witnessing their dedication inspired me to eventually mentor others, viewing debates through a new lens.
Over the next two years, I continued to debate with PU, forging deep connections with HNMUN. It’s only natural that delegates create affinities with specific conferences, and HNMUN was the one in my case. Suddenly, Boston became a yearly checkpoint—a reminder of how far I’d come and how much I’d grown. HNMUN embodies the spirit of challenge, and I’ve always been drawn to pushing my limits. Equally rewarding are the friendships I’ve formed along the way—like-minded people who share my thirst for growth and adventure. HNMUN sparked it all, and I’m honored to contribute to the legacy that has shaped countless individuals through Peruvian Universities.
Our team’s commitment to excellence is fueled by diversity, transforming strangers into family with each passing year. It’s an experience that’s hard to put into words, rooted in the shared spirit that unites us all.
